LexX Wins Schneider Electric Bold Ideas Challenge!

The LexX Team are very pleased to advise that LexX was chosen as the winner of the Schneider Electric Bold Ideas global technology challenge at the Global Innovation Summit in Singapore last Thursday (20th September).

In front of around 2000 attendees at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, LexX was awarded the overall winner of the industry award against 10 other selected finalists. The 10 finalists (who were selected from over 200 nominees) were businesses from Russia, France, India, Singapore, Poland and the US. A wide range of emerging technologies were on display.

Nishant Sahai, Chief Operations Officer, did an incredible job showcasing the LexX technology sharing LexX with audience and judges. Sahai said about those attending the event, “It was great to be surrounded by people who were also excited about digital innovation and to share our product and passion with everyone”.

The reception of our LexX platform was positive, with those in attendance at the event excited about the possibilities of LexX. Krishna Navalpakkam, whose area of expertise is Global Strategy at Schneider Electric, expressed how LexX was addressing a significant industry issue, “The great team at LexX is addressing a critical challenge that the global industrial sector faces amidst a paradigm shift in workforce demographics and dynamics. We at Schneider Electric welcome LexX to our innovation ecosystem…”.

Jérôme Firmin, Industry Technology Partners Director at Schneider Electric, was also supportive of our technology, saying, “LexX is the brilliant winner of our 2018 edition of the Schneider Electric Industry startup challenge organized in Singapore on September 20th. With their Digital intelligence for maintenance solution they are the heart of the needs of Schneider Electric’s customers. We are happy to open a collaboration work together in this area”.

For the Challenge itself, the focus was on enabling technologies around: Operations Efficiency and Optimisation; Asset Reliability Control; and Augmented Workforce

Key elements in the assessment of the competing technologies and selection of the winner were:

  • Innovativeness
  • Growth Potential
  • Technical and Organisational Readiness

The showcase was no easy feat, but Nishant did an excellent job of sharing some of the benefits which LexX can bring to organisations which utilise complex equipment. The judges also shared our enthusiasm for LexX, with Judge and Organiser David Orgaz D’Hollander (Senior Vice President Asia Pacific Process Automation at Schneider Electric) saying, “…in the context of our ageing workforce, and the structural shift of the workforce composition, technology to codify and manage knowledge and experience is of a critical nature. LexX’s technology is positioned right at the heart of this topic, and I see a lot of potential for this product and the team behind it going forward!”.

Fabrice Jadot, also a Judge during the challenge and Schneider Electric’s Innovation and Technology SVP — CTO, said that LexX had great potential as part of Schneider’s Ecostruxure, “As part of EcoStruxure, we have recently launched our Augmented Operator Advisor for empowering operators to make the best of their time. With LexX, we could complement our advisor to reach a step further by sharing knowledge across operators so that each and every operator can access to the company know how at her/his fingertip while preparing at the same time the next generation workforce thanks to digital knowledge transfer”.

Given the scale and reach of the awards and the quality of innovative technologies that were nominated, we were exceedingly pleased to be recognised in this way by the judging panel.

LexX wants to thank all those who continue their interest in and support of our organisation and look forward to sharing many more future successes with you!
